A butterfly is a non-solid block that likes flowers and bright areas.
There are 3 butterfly species:

---|---|---|
Red Butterfly | butterflies:butterfly_red | |
Violet Butterfly | butterflies:butterfly_violet | |
White Butterfly | butterflies:butterfly_white |
Generation
Butterflies are generated near to flowers.
Appearing and disappearing
When it is dark, the butterfly disappears but it is not truly gone. When the light returns, the butterfly will quickly re-appear at the same spot, as long the block it “lived” in has not been tampered with.
Usage
A butterfly can be catched with a bug net and be placed again somewhere else. And that's it.
