Iron Ore is an ore found mostly under sea level and is rarer than coal ore and is more common than copper ore. In general, it is still pretty common. Mining requires a stone pickaxe (or better) and will give you an iron lump. Iron ore always appears in small to large clusters inside stone and it can be found at basically any height.
