Locked Chests function, for the most part, like regular chests. They have 32 slots of inventory space and can only be mined if empty. Their contents are accessed by using them. Unlike regular chests, however, they can only be used by the player who placed them. Also, a locked chest can even survive explosions like from a TNT. Other players may view its contents but are not allowed to store or retreive any blocks or items. It also cannot be mined by other players. Although locked chests are mainly made out of wood, they can’t burn.

Locked Chests first appeared in version 0.3.0.
