Papyrus (sometimes called Sugar Cane, Reeds or Bamboo) is found near water on grass blocks or dirt. It is relatively hard to find and can be crafted into paper.
Papyrus can be placed anywhere but will not grow anywhere.
A papyrus on dirt or a grass block which is not further away from water than three node lengths slowly grows three additional papyri (blocks) above it.
