Stone is one of the most common blocks found naturally in Minetest. It can be found at any height level down from the surface level except in deserts and the entire underground is mainly made out of stone. Mining it gives cobblestone which can be smelted into stone again. Stone is also important in the sense that all ore blocks spawn inside stone.

Stone is created when flowing lava touches water.
