Flint and Steel is a tool to create fire when you punch (with left-click) the surface of a flammable block. Fire can only appear inside air that way. This tool can also be used to ignite Gun Powder and TNT by punching. If you punch the top side of a Coal Block with this tool, you create a Permanent Flame instead.
