Dry Soil is created when a hoe is used on Dry Dirt. This block is basically the “Dry Dirt” variant of Soil.
Wheat Seed and Cotton Seed can be placed on it but the plants will only grow when this block is wet.
Dry Soil eventually becomes wet when Water is within two block lengths of it.
Dry Soil will turn back to Dry Dirt eventually if nothing is planted on it and it is not made wet for a longer time.
Fun Fact
When Dry Soil is wet, it is called “Wet Dry Soil”.
