There are three types of trees:
Regular Trees
When harvested they will drop tree blocks, which can then be crafted into four wooden planks.
Apple Trees
Apple trees grow randomly in the world and from regular saplings and can be harvested for apples.
Jungle Trees
Jungle trees are only found in Jungles and drop jungle tree blocks, which can be crafted into jungle wood.
